Assistant Professor or Instructor of Art + Design : Media + Communication

The Position:
The Art + Design : Media + Communication department in the School of Fine Arts and College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at East Central University invites applications an Assistant Professor or Instructor of audio and video to begin in August 2023. The successful candidate will also have responsibilities assisting with (and training students in) technical lighting and sound for campus productions.

The School of Fine Arts is committed to innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will be able to teach in areas including audio, video and other media. They will advise students and serve the university and the broader community. They should be able to lift and move commensurate with the skills being taught. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is committed to equity, diversity and inclusiveness, engaging students in active learning, and providing online instruction for adult learners. Additional duties may be required as needed.

Qualifications:
Master of Fine Arts or Doctorate preferred, ABD considered for an Instructor line. An interest in collaboration with colleagues in the School of Fine Arts will be considered an asset. Previous college level teaching experience preferred.
