What is an Internship?

The Office of Career Development defines an internship as any type of carefully monitored work or service experience related to one's major or career path. Also, the individual has a list of learning goals set by ECU faculty and with the employer explaining what he or she is learning throughout the internship experience.

Why choose an Internship?

Students should choose an internship to gain real experience in areas of career interest. East Central University Internships are designed to provide practical internship information. Even though internships are offered year round, you have the option to choose when you want to intern. Most of all internships help you to establish an employer network that can lead to full-time employment in the future.
