ECU EDUCATORS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES ANNOUNCED

Six former educators with ties to East Central University will be inducted into the Gene and Evelyn Keefer Educators Hall of Fame at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday [APRIL 15] in ECU's Danley Hall atrium.

The inductees are Kenneth Murphy, Billie Floyd, Leon and Mary Pauline Lanoy, the late Ray Stout and the late John Zimmerman.

PBS ANCHOR JIM LEHRER TO PRESENT COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS AT ECU

Jim Lehrer, the nationally respected executive editor and anchor of The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS, will present the commencement addresses May 9 [SATURDAY] for East Central University students completing bachelor's and master's degrees this spring and summer.

ECU STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN VISIT TO NASA AMES RESEARCH CENTER

East Central University students, Ashley Robertson of Purcell and Joseph Jacobi of Sterling, accompanied by Dr. Mark Micozzi, ECU associate professor of cartography and geography, participated in a special visit to the NASA Ames Research Center in San Jose, Calif. on March 16 - 19.

JACOBI NICHOLS TO RECEIVE GEORGE NIGH AWARD TUESDAY AT ECU

East Central University's top senior, Jacobi Nichols of Healdton, will be awarded the prestigious George Nigh Award Tuesday [April 14], at a luncheon in the South Dining Hall of Taff Cafeteria in ECU's Memorial Student Union.

ROTARACT, INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CONNECTION HOST FAIR

East Central University's Rotaract Club and International Student Connection is hosting an international fair Tuesday [APRIL 7], from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Stanley Wagner Ballroom.

Both domestic and international artifacts will be on display, many of which will be available for purchase via a silent auction.

The health information management (HIM) faculty at East Central University will observe the sixth annual Health Information Privacy and Security Week, April 12 through 18.

The Officer Candidates of East Central University's Guard Officer Leadership Development (GOLD) program invites everyone to a Dining Out to honor the tradition and heritage of military service at 5 p.m. on Friday, [APRIL 10] in the Stanley Wagner Ballroom.

TRANSFER ENROLLMENT DAY SET APRIL 8 AT ECU

Students about to complete associate's degrees in May who plan to transfer to East Central University can see what ECU has to offer and enroll for the summer and fall semesters during Transfer Enrollment Day on Wednesday [APRIL 8].

STUDENT ART WORKS ON EXHIBIT, UP FOR AWARDS AT ECU

The Fifty-Fourth Annual Student Exhibition is underway in East Central University's Art Department and includes a number of works recently featured in the Momentum Oklahoma City Exhibit.

The show includes ceramics, drawings, digital images, paintings, prints, sculpture and watercolors, all works from the students' various fields of study.
