ECU COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES SET FOR SATURDAY, MAY 10

ADA – Bachelor’s degrees will be awarded to 505 students and 183 more will be granted master’s degrees as East Central University conducts two commencement exercises on Saturday, May 10, at the Kerr Activities Center.

The first ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. while the second will take place at 2 p.m.

HURT-BRYAN NAMED WINNER OF ECU’S GEORGE NIGH AWARD FOR 2013-14

ADA – Former Oklahoma Gov. George Nigh, a 1950 East Central University graduate, presented the prestigious George Nigh Award to Noelle Hurt-Bryan on Friday, April 25.

Each year top seniors are selected to apply for this award and, after a rigorous application and interview process, the 2013-14 recipient ascended to the top for many reasons.

FORMER ECU STUDENT RAGSDALE TO PRESENT LECTURE ON “BLACK TOWNS AND RESISTANCE IN THE AMERICAS”

ADA – Former East Central University student Rhonda Ragsdale will be presenting a lecture entitled “Black Towns and Resistance in the Americas” on Wednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. in the Estep Multimedia Room inside the Bill S. Cole University Center on the ECU campus.
