    The senior exhibit of Angela Rae Mackey, an art major at East Central University, will be on exhibit at 6:30 p.m. Thursday [MAY 7, 2009] in the vicinity of Julianna Park in downtown Ada.

    The exhibit, titled "Voice," includes 20 of Mackey's watercolors on wooden panels and will be presented as a work of performance art on the street in view of the public.

    The fourth annual ECU Day of Percussion will be held Saturday [MAY 2] at East Central University with clinics, master classes and a finale concert at 4 p.m. featuring the ECU Percussion Ensemble, ECU Jazz Ensemble, Ada High School Percussion Ensemble and three guest clinicians.

    A violin soloist, two guest conductors, the performance of a march used as East Central University's first school song and the presentation of the prestigious Saied Awards will be part of the concert Thursday [APRIL 30] of the ECU Symphonic Band and the select Wind Ensemble.

    The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Summers Theatre. Admission is free.

    A. Faye Nix, An art student at East Central University, will display her senior exhibit, "Incorporeal," at KT's Body Art, 802 E. Main, May 1 and 2 [FRIDAY-SATURDAY]. The exhibit will be open from noon until 10 p.m. and a reception will be held at 7 p.m. May 2. Several works will be available for purchase.
