    Korean pianist Rira Lim will preview her upcoming performance in New York's Carnegie Hall at 3 p.m. Sunday [OCT. 11] at the Ada Arts & Heritage Center. The concert is part of the East Central University Piano Concert Series. Admission is free.

    Cellist Diane Bucchianeri and pianist Stuart Deaver will play sonatas by Beethoven and Rachmaninov Oct. 4 [SUNDAY] at East Central University.

    They will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. Admission is free.

    Registration is still open for a one-day grant writing workshop next week at East Central University. The Fundamentals of Grant Proposal Writing will be offered either Oct. 5 [MONDAY] or Oct. 6 [TUESDAY]. The program will be the same each day.

    The cost is $147 per person. The instructor, Robert Bradley, has conducted workshops for state and national conferences, government agencies, non-profit organizations and universities.

    A recital of clarinet music dedicated to East Central University's Centennial, as well as the centennial of the birth of the famous clarinetist Benny Goodman, will be performed Monday [SEPT. 28] by Dr. Mark Hollingsworth, chair of ECU's Music Department.

    The recital is free and will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.
