An auction of original works of art by East Central University alumni and faculty members will be held Saturday [NOV. 6] to raise money for scholarships in ECU’s Art Department.

Boy Scouts ages 11-18 will have the opportunity to either begin or complete three merit badges at the second annual Southern Oklahoma Merit Badge Fair Nov. 13 [SATURDAY] at East Central University in Ada.
A total of 20 different merit badges will be offered. Webelos Cub Scouts can participate in the “Webelos Wrangle.” They will have a chance to earn three activity badges, two belt loops and the U.S. Heritage Award which will qualify them for a medal and patch.

A national touring company's imaginative interpretation of a timeless Shakespeare comedy will bring an enchanted forest and theatrical magic to East Central University on Nov. 2 [TUESDAY].
New York's Aquila Theatre will perform "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at 7:30 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

Elizabeth Smith plans to be in her 7th grade classroom and on the basketball court as much as possible this year whenever she's not traveling the state or nation as the 2011 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.
