Dining Options

East Central University offers various meal plans for students living on and off campus. All students living on campus are required to purchase a meal plan.  Then weekly meal plans may be used in Taff Cafeteria or by using a meal transfer in the university Center Snack Bar.  Individuals living off campus that would like to purchase a meal plan may do so by completing the Off-Campus Meal Plan Agreement and submitting it to the Housing and Residence Life office within the first ten day of class each semester.

Taff Cafeteria:

Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Saturday and only breakfast and lunch on Sundays. Taff Cafeteria provides numerous dining option including a sautéed pasta bar, home-style bar, salad bar, sandwich bar, pizza oven, dessert bar and soft serve ice cream.  The meal are buffet style.

Monday –Friday 4:30 -6:30 PM          Saturday 4:30-6:00 PM               Sunday CLOSED

The cafeteria allows for take-out meals.  The student will need to speak with the cashier upon entering the cafeteria on how to obtain a to-go container. 

This may only be used if the student has not yet eaten during that meal period and intends to take the meal outside of the cafeteria.

University Center Snack Bar:

Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday. The Snack Bar includes Papa John’s Pizza, Starbucks coffee station, sub sandwiches and a grill station.

All students living on campus are required to purchase a meal plan.  Students living in Pontotoc, Pesagi, Briles or Knight Halls may chose from a weekly meal plan.  The weekly meal plans may be used in Taff Cafeteria, located near Briles Hall, or by using a meal transfer in the University Center Snack Bar.  Weekly meal plans are available in 10, 14 or 20 meals/week.  Students living in Tiger Commons or Stadium Apartments may select from one of the weekly meal plans, or they may choose the Flex Plan.  The Flex Plan of $738/semester works as a debit account and can be used in Taff Cafeteria or in the University Center Snack Bar.  

Individuals living off campus that would like to purchase a meal plan may do so by completing the Off-Campus Meal Plan Agreement and submitting it in the Housing and Residence Life office.
