National Student Exchange

Did you know that East Central University offers students a chance to participate in the National Student Exchange (NSE), a U.S. study away program much like study abroad? Knowing you can study in any state…at ECU’s tuition rate…which state would you pick???

With NSE you can study away for a semester or for a year. NSE locations encompass nearly 200 colleges and universities in the; United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands.

NSE gives you an opportunity to experience a different area with its unique cultural and academic opportunities. Since NSE's beginning in 1968, more than 100,000 students have had the opportunity to participate in NSE. Our students utilize NSE to broaden their personal and educational perspectives, experience new cultures  , explore new areas of study, learn from different professors, access new courses, experience personal growth, network, make new friends, live in a different area, investigate graduate schools, and seek future employment.

Many of our returning students describe NSE as a life-changing experience which has made them more independent, self-confident, resourceful, expanded their risk-taking capabilities, and helped them better define their academic and career objectives.

So think about it...Then go to, click on Students. Talk with your parents, advisor, and professors about this exciting opportunity.
