Freshman Business Scholars

freshman business scholars application

The Freshmen Business Scholar Leader Program was established through a generous donation from the owners of Kellogg and Sovereign Consulting, LLC. This program is a unique opportunity for incoming freshmen business majors that includes several components to help promote academic excellence, student engagement, and cultural enrichment.

Why You Should Become a Freshmen Business Scholar

  • Special Scholars Courses
The Freshmen Business Scholar Program allows students to enroll in special business courses that are only available to the Freshmen Scholars.
  • Student Engagement
The Business Leaders Association (BLA) hosts business speakers, on-campus events, competitions, and much more, which will help students become more active and involved on campus and in the School of Business. Freshmen Business Scholars will also have the opportunity to go on special class trips.
  • Priority Enrollment
Students in the Freshmen Business Scholar Program get to enroll before general enrollment opens each semester. This will help you get the courses you want at the times you want every semester.
  • Means to an End
You will be exposed to special programs and future scholarships. You can also start building your resume with meaningful awards, professional contacts, and accomplishments that will set you apart from other college students.
  • Requirements:
  • Must be a first-year full-time college student.
  • ACT score of 23 or higher (or equivalent SAT score).
  • High School GPA 3.75 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
