Master of Science in Water Resource Policy and Management (MSWRPM): 1030 [Online Program]

The Master of Science in Water Resource Policy and Management is 30-hour program, delivered in a fully online format and mixed format, making it eligible for international students.  For tuition and fee information, please visit the Office of the Bursar

This degree supports the need for advanced understanding of the growing complexity of water issues that face communities in the state, nation, and globally. This degree trains students for leadership in making water policy decisions and prepares students who seek employment within federal and state environmental agencies, environmental non- governmental organizations, international development agencies, industry, and environmental consulting firms.

The WRPM program welcomes international students from all countries, and we have successful graduates from countries such as Nepal, Kenya, and Nigeria. As a STEM program, program graduates are eligible for up to three years of OPT (Optional Practical Training).

The program requires students to integrate and synthesize knowledge from multiple disciplines to address the complex challenges of water resource decisions and to develop solutions that are socially acceptable, politically and economically viable, and environmentally sustainable. Students will be broadly trained to undertake careers in managing water resources and in guiding or making water resource policy decisions. WRPM graduates enjoy employment at tribal governments, state water and environmental agencies, the Environmental Protection Agencies, city governments, private businesses, and other employers.
