Master of Education (MEd): Sports Administration (1050) [Program of Study]
The Master of Education degree at East Central University offers educators and other professionals in-depth study in several specialization areas. Candidates can choose a program option that prepares them for a job in an education-related field. The program options include: Educational Leadership, Library Media, School Counseling, School Psychometry, Special Education, Sports Administration. Such selection shall be made at the time of admission to the graduate program since a change of option may result in the students having completed inapplicable work. Each program offers courses based on best practices in the field. Each program is designed to provide a research foundation from which candidates make informed decisions.

This program option is designed to prepare the professional educator for positions as Head Coach, Athletic Director, or other administrative positions responsible for directing athletic programs. The program is based on specialized courses in sports administration.
Sports Administration Specific Admission Requirements
Cumulative GPA: 2.5
Thesis
Sports Administration does not require a thesis.
Practicum/Internship
Sports Administration requires one (1) practicum course, which requires a minimum of 100 hours for the course.
