Music - Vocal Teacher Certification Concentration
College of Liberal Arts & Social Science
ECU’s Vocal Music Program offers students a dynamic and comprehensive education in vocal performance, music theory, and musicianship. Designed for those pursuing careers in performance, education, or advanced musical study, the program emphasizes both classical and contemporary vocal training.
Students receive individualized voice instruction, participate in a variety of vocal ensembles—including the nationally recognized ECU Chorale—and engage in coursework that builds strong foundations in music theory, ear training, diction, pedagogy, and conducting. Performance opportunities, both on campus and in the community, are integral to the program, preparing students for careers as performers, educators, or graduate-level scholars.
Whether your goal is to teach, perform, or pursue further study, ECU’s Vocal Music Program provides the training and experiences needed to find your voice—and share it with the world.
