ECU’s Vocal Music Program offers a dynamic and comprehensive education in vocal performance, music theory, and musicianship. Designed for students pursuing careers in performance, teaching, or advanced musical study, the program emphasizes both classical and contemporary vocal training.

Students benefit from individualized voice instruction, participation in vocal ensembles—including the nationally recognized ECU Chorale—and rigorous coursework in theory, ear training, diction, pedagogy, and conducting. Regular performance opportunities on campus and in the community prepare students for success as performers, educators, or scholars.
