Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Compassionate care. Clinical excellence.

ECU’s Department of Nursing offers a rigorous, eight-semester Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program designed for pre-licensure students. Through a combination of academic coursework and hands-on clinical experience, students develop the knowledge and skills required for safe, effective, and ethical nursing practice.

Graduates who meet Oklahoma state licensure requirements—including a clear criminal background check—are eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses). Successful candidates become licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) ready to serve in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health settings.

Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive curriculum blending science, theory, and clinical practice

  • Supervised clinical experiences in real healthcare environments

  • Prepares students to sit for the NCLEX-RN and enter professional practice

  • Strong foundation for future specialization or graduate nursing education
