Transfer Student
Transferring to ECU is Easy!
We're excited to welcome you to East Central University! Follow these steps to make your transfer smooth and simple.
Step 1: Apply to ECU
Required Documents:
- Official College Transcript
- Official Technology Center Transcript (if attended)
- Official High School Transcript (if fewer than 24 college credit hours completed)
- ACT/SAT Scores (optional)
- Immunization Records
- $20 Application Fee
Transfer Admission Requirements:
- 24+ college credit hours: Must submit all college transcripts with a 2.0+ retention GPA
- Less than 24 credit hours: Must also submit high school or GED/HiSET transcript. ACT/SAT scores are optional but can be used for admission consideration.
Step 2: Check Your Transfer Credits

ECU has transfer agreements with:
- Eastern Oklahoma State College
- Murray State College
- Rose State College
- Seminole State College
Step 3: Get Enrolled
Once admitted, it's time to plan your first semester!
- Schedule an appointment with an ECU advisor at (580) 559-5696 ECU Academic Success Center.
- First Semester: Meet with an Academic Success Center advisor.
- After First Semester: Meet with a faculty advisor in your academic program.
Curricular Deficiencies
Students must meet basic academic requirements for Baccalaureate Programs.
You must have completed one college-level course in:
- English
- Science (with lab)
- Math
- U.S. Government
- Two History or Economics courses
ACT scores (subscores of 19+) may be used to remediate deficiencies. If requirements are not met, students will be advised on how to address deficiencies before full admission.
