Transfer Student
Transferring to ECU is Easy!
We're excited to welcome you to East Central University! Follow these steps to make your transfer smooth and simple.
Step 1: Apply to ECU
Required Documents:
- Official College Transcript
- Official Technology Center Transcript (if attended)
- Official High School Transcript (if fewer than 24 college credit hours completed)
- ACT/SAT Scores (optional)
- Immunization Records
- $20 Application Fee
Transfer Admission Requirements:
- 24+ college credit hours: Must submit all college transcripts with a 2.0+ retention GPA
- Less than 24 credit hours: Must also submit high school or GED/HiSET transcript. ACT/SAT scores are optional but can be used for admission consideration.
-
20 Years Prior Academic Terms: Academic terms completed more than 20 years ago will not be transcribed. Previously awarded academic degrees will be honored and notated on the ECU transcript regardless of how long ago they were earned. ECU will calculate the 20 year period from the day the transfer transcript is received by our campus - and the academic term that date falls within. For example, if ECU receives a transcript on 07/14/2026, the oldest academic term ECU will accept transfer credit for is Summer 2006.
Step 2: Check Your Transfer Credits
Wondering if your credits transfer? Use the ECU Transfer Matrix to check!
ECU has transfer agreements with:
- Eastern Oklahoma State College
- Murray State College
- Rose State College
