Mary K. McGaha, formerly Tarver, is a proud alum of East Central University earning her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1996 after which she immediately joined the ECU faculty as a part-time instructor. She was promoted to full-time instructor in 1998 after which she completed her Masters in Computer Science at University of Oklahoma in 2002 and then promoted to rank of Assistant Professor as she pursued her doctorate at Oklahoma State University. Mary K. McGaha loves to teach and enjoys teaching the foundational courses of Computer Programming I, Computer Programming II and Data Structures providing students new to the field a gentle introduction and a strong foundation upon which they can build their computer science careers. She also serves as System Administrator for the Computer Science Department’s Linux Server and often teaches a variety of upper-level elective courses for the major including System Administration, Scripting Languages and Advanced Programming Languages.
