A Word From Our President
Dear Friend of East Central University,
ECU is more than a university; it's a place of transformation. As a first-generation student, I found that this institution changed my life, opening doors I never thought possible. That's why I'm committed to leading ECU with a vision for the next decade, to ensure every student, whether from a rural background, a Native heritage, or the first in their family to attend college, has access to the same life-changing opportunities.
For 117 years, ECU has been a place of possibility, starting with a 16-acre gift from Dan Hays of the Chickasaw Nation. Today, we honor that legacy by shaping the future for generations to come.
Looking toward the future, we have launched ECU Forward: A Capital Campaign for East Central University, which seeks to raise $36,310,000. The resources from this campaign will enable us to invest in our students, faculty, programs, and facilities.
By investing in ECU, we can ensure that students receive the high-quality education, resources, and experiences they deserve, strengthening both our institution and the state of Oklahoma for years to come.
