*This event has been canceled*

This camp is a one-week residential program which will introduce students to the chemistry laboratory. Students will spend the majority of their time in the laboratory synthesizing, purifying, and analyzing various biologically important molecules.  The relationship of these biomolecules to medicine and industry will be explored.  There will also be a field trip to the Noble Research Institute in Ardmore and to the Chickasaw Wildlife Refuge (conditions permitting).

During the week, students will interact with college professors and experience college life.  Sessions about college admission, financial aid and career aptitudes will be interspersed throughout the academy. There will also be many fun supervised recreational activities in the evenings.

There is no cost to attend this camp. Meals, housing, and activities are all provided at no cost to the participant. This camp will be well-supervised by paid staff.
