ADA, Okla. – The East Central University Brandon Whitten Institute, in partnership with the Pontotoc County Drug Free Coalition, will host a Community Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This event provides community members with a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Local law enforcement partners will be on-site to ensure medications are collected and disposed of securely.

Prescription drug misuse remains a critical public health concern. By participating in Take Back Day, community members can play an important role in preventing medication misuse and protecting their families and community.

The event will take place at the ECU Brandon Whitten Institute, located at 831 E. Main Street in Ada, Okla.
