ADA, Okla. – Summer camps and activities have come to a close at East Central University as Fall 2026 gets underway across campus.
Throughout May, June, July and early August, approximately1,300 K-12 and college age students, along with community members, participated in dozens of camps, clinics, internships and retreats held in various ECU facilities on campus.

ECU Athletic events included:

- ECU Men’s Basketball Youth Skills Camp

- ECU Esports Camp 1: Careers in Esports
- ECU Esports Camp 2: Game Design in Roblox
- ECU Cheer – Session 2
- ECU Softball Preview Camp
- ECU Men’s Basketball Camp
In addition to ECU-sponsored events, the campus welcomed outside organizations such as Ada Center Stage Drama Camp and the Chickasaw Nation, who brought additional athletic and fine arts events to ECU, including the prestigious Chickasaw Summer Arts Academy.
The success of ECU’s busy summer schedule would not have been made possible without the coordination and dedication of ECU Director of Event Management Jamie Davis and his team, Nicole Erwin and Shelby Davis, as well as numerous student and employee volunteers. Their hard work behind the scenes helped ensure that each event came together seamlessly for students, families and community members throughout the summer.
As Fall 2026 begins, ECU looks forward to building on the momentum of a summer filled with opportunities for learning, leadership, athletics, creativity and community engagement.
