ADA, Okla. - East Central University (ECU) announces a Lifetime Service Award Banquet for Saturday, March 28 at 6 p.m. in the ECU Foundation Hall, located inside the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center.
ECU President Wendell Godwin has announced Dr. Gerald Williamson, Dr. Shirley Mixon and Becky Isaacs as the first-ever recipients of ECU’s Lifetime Service Awards. Each individual has served the ECU community for more than four decades.
“We are excited to celebrate these employees who have devoted their entire working careers to ECU,” said Godwin. “They have delivered on the mission of ECU and have served our students in many capacities. They are each deserving of this Lifetime Service Award. It will be a great evening for us to reflect on the amazing impact they have made here at ECU. We are looking forward to welcoming family, friends and students to the celebration.”
Isaacs served as Director of Financial Aid at ECU at the time of her retirement earlier this summer. Williamson, who has filled a number of roles during his time at ECU, continues to serve the university as Chief Development Officer for the ECU Foundation. Mixon serves as Professor and Director of ECU’s Interdisciplinary Studies Program, while continuing to serve on numerous university, community and state committees and organizations.
