ADA, Okla. – Prospective students interested in joining the East Central University School of Nursing, now located inside the brand new, state-of-the-art Dan Hays STEM Center, for the Spring 2027 semester must apply and have all materials submitted by Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m.
The mission of the ECU School of Nursing is to prepare baccalaureate nurses that are lifelong learners, to provide safe, patient-centered care in an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
ECU offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to pre-licensure students who will complete an eight-semester program leading to their degree. Graduates who meet the Oklahoma state requirements for licensure are eligible to apply to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-CAT, RN) to become a Registered Nurse.
ECU’s School of Nursing Director Darcy Duncan encourages anyone interested to, “Come Be A #tigernurse!”
The application cycle for Fall 2027 will be open Nov. 1, 2026.
