ADA, Okla. – East Central University Athletics is proud to announce that a major step forward has been made in the efforts to renovate the Elvan George football locker room, thanks to transformational gifts from longtime supporters of the Tiger program.

The generous donations provide critical momentum as ECU Athletics works toward its $2.3 million fundraising goal.

"This is monumental for our program and university," Head Coach John Litrenta said. "A lot of credit goes to our administration who believes in our vision and direction. This will give us a great facility to call home for our current and future players that will set us apart. The tremendous support from our alumni and donors has been great to see!"

Renovation plans include 140 state-of-the-art lockers featuring LED screens to display personalized athlete information, offering each player a modern, individualized space.

The project also includes a fully refreshed athletic training room and expanded bathroom facilities, making room for both hot and cold recovery tubs. Multiple high-definition TVs will be installed throughout for sports viewing and gaming.

New team-building areas outfitted with pool and ping pong tables will foster camaraderie and connection, while updated branding elements, including imagery celebrating ECU Football Hall of Famers, will reflect the program's proud history. Additionally, the equipment room will be upgraded for more efficient storage and daily operations.

The locker room renovation, one of the many top priorities in ECU's athletics facilities plan, will support Tiger football's continued growth and enhance the student-athlete experience for current and future generations.
