ADA, Okla. - East Central University presents the world premiere of “Chintaloowali' (I Sing to You)” on March 9 at 7 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre, located inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

This original symphonic orchestra comes from a partnership between ECU alumnus and Chickasaw Nation citizen, Zach Garcia, and Oklahoma City Philharmonic Music Director Alexander Mickelthwate.

Garcia composed the four-movement work, which is inspired by Chickasaw stories and history and reflects the challenges and resilience of the Chickasaw Nation.

The musical premiere will be performed by the University of Central Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mickelthwate.
