Program Mission

The program is committed to advancing social and economic justice, protecting human rights, reducing poverty, and improving quality of life for all.
Admission Requirements
Students apply for admission to the Social Work Program after completing the following requirements:
- Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare
- Professional Skills for Social Work and Social Welfare
- General Biology or another approved human biology course
- General Psychology
- Introduction to Sociology
- Freshman Composition I & II
- Minimum grade of C in all required courses
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25
Applications, including letters of recommendation, are accepted during the fall and spring semesters.
After admission, students work with a Social Work advisor to develop a personalized Plan of Study.
