Woodwind Ensembles
Flute Ensemble
The ECU Flute Ensemble provides flutists of all backgrounds the opportunity to perform
as an independent group. With access to university-owned piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute, the ensemble performs richly layered music while developing both individual precision and ensemble cohesion.

Repertoire includes classical transcriptions and modern works

Focus on technique, tone blending, and expressive interpretation

Performs at least twice annually, with occasional off-campus engagements

Clarinet Ensemble
The Clarinet Ensemble performs a broad range of music, from original works to orchestral
arrangements. Students gain experience performing in both clarinet choir and smaller chamber formations, developing key chamber skills applicable to any ensemble setting.

Ideal for students pursuing music professionally or as a lifelong passion

Performs 1–2 concerts per semester
Saxophone Quartets & Woodwind Groups
Saxophone quartets and other small ensembles such as woodwind quintets, trios, and duos allow students to explore a rich chamber music repertoire while building ensemble
communication and interpretive skills. Groupings vary by semester and student interest,
providing flexible and diverse musical experiences.
