Bachelor of Fine Arts – Art Education (Teacher Certification)

ECU’s Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Art Education prepares students to become certified art teachers for grades Pre-K through 12. The program combines broad studio training with a focus on teaching methodology, child development, and curriculum design—empowering future educators to guide students in discovering and developing their artistic voices.

Through a critical pedagogical approach, students engage in art production, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics. ECU’s Art Education graduates are teaching across Oklahoma and Texas, making a meaningful impact in classrooms and communities.
