The Pogue Art Gallery

Located inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center next to the Ataloa Theatre, the Pogue Art Gallery is a centerpiece of the Fine Arts Center and the final stop on the Ada Arts District trail. The gallery hosts rotating exhibitions throughout the year, featuring contemporary artists from the region and historical collections. These exhibits offer valuable experiences for both students and the community.

  • 900 sq. ft. of exhibition space
  • 75 linear ft. of wall space
  • Adjustable lighting and open floor plan
  • Large windows overlooking Centennial Plaza and the Inasmuch Sculpture Garden

Gallery Hours
Open to the public Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (hours differ in summer months) when the University is in session, and during special events and performances in the Fine Arts Center.

Closures
The gallery may close temporarily for private events. Notices will be posted on the doors with reopening times. Visitors can also view ECU’s permanent art collection in the Fine Arts Center, Linscheid Library, Chickasaw Business and Conference Center, and the Bill S. Cole University Center. For availability, contact the Gallery Director.

Exhibition Proposals
Artists may submit proposals year-round for solo or group exhibits in any medium. To apply, email the Gallery Director with:

  • A brief exhibition proposal
  • An artist statement
  • At least 10 images (PDF, website link, or file-sharing link)

The gallery schedule is typically booked two years in advance. Exhibits run 4–6 weeks. Artists cover shipping; ECU provides insurance for displayed works.
