Cost of Attendance (COA)

2025–2026 Academic Year

The federal government requires universities to estimate the average cost of attending college for one academic year. These estimates determine eligibility for financial aid and include average costs for:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Books, supplies, and equipment
  • Housing and food
  • Transportation (based on a reasonable geographic area)
  • Basic personal expenses
  • Student loan fees

Actual student expenses may vary depending on personal lifestyle, course of study, and living arrangements.

Special Circumstances

Adjustments to COA may be considered for:

  • Childcare expenses while attending class
  • Long-distance commuting costs
  • Non-resident tuition
  • Required computer/software purchases
  • Nursing fees, clinicals, rotations, or practicums

Adjustments cannot be made for:

  • Credit card payments
  • Monthly bills or expensive rent
  • Car purchases or leases
  • Expenses related to family members
  • Other discretionary costs

Tip: A simple lifestyle change can be the most effective budget strategy—cutting unnecessary spending is like awarding yourself a scholarship!

Estimated Cost of Attendance

Based on full-time enrollment (15 credit hours/semester for undergraduates, 9 for graduates and doctoral students)

Use this as a general guide—actual costs will vary.
