ECU Rotaract Club is hosting an “Around the World with Rotaract” International Silent Auction on Tuesday, Feb. 25th in the University Center, 2pm to 7pm. Dozens of handmade and local crafts collected from around the world will be offered for auction. A few of the countries included are:

Bahamas
Nepal
Cambodia
Russia
United States
Morocco
Vietnam
South Korea

The auction will be held in a “come and go” silent auction format. All proceeds will fund ECU Rotaract Club’s 2014 International Project. This year we will be funding a non-government organization (NGO) in Nepal so that deprived children may go to school instead of being forced to work at such a young age; they will be provided with food, uniforms, a small allowance, and other school necessities. Our goal is to make sure that these children’s rights to education are recognized.

Some international and US food samples will be provided between 4pm and 7pm. At 5:30pm, cake will be served for Rotary International’s 109th birthday celebration!

Additionally, in accordance to World Peace and Understanding Day, each country presented will be represented by a display board bearing information about that country. Cultural music will also be played throughout the program.

Program will run from 2pm to 7pm in the University Center on Tuesday, Feb. 25th.

We encourage everyone to please stop by and support us in our efforts at bringing positive changes to the world.
