Graduate Certificates in Psychological Services
Applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in one of the following areas: General Psychology, Special Education, Child Psychology, School Counseling, or a related counseling area. School Psychologist Certificate candidates will be eligible to complete the OSAT certification exams for School Psychologist (033) and Psychometrist (034). School Psychologist certificate students will only be eligible to seek a state LPC licensure if they hold a Master’s Degree in an area related to mental health and accepted by the stated LPC licensure board. Minimum total of sixty (60) semester credit hours, including course work in the following program of study are required.
School Psychologist Certificate (1000)
The Graduate Certificate in Psychological Services: School Psychologist is a 60-hour certificate, delivered in a mixed format. For tuition and fee information, please visit the Office of the Bursar.

School Psychologist Certificate Specific Admission Requirements
- Undergraduate Cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Interview to assess essential dispositions
Thesis
The School Psychologist Certificate does not require a thesis.
Practicum/Internship
The School Psychologist Certificate requires two (2) practicum courses and two (2) internship courses to complete this degree. The two (2) practicum courses require a minimum of 150 hours for each course while the two (2) internship courses require a minimum of 600 hours for each course.

The Graduate Certificate in Psychological Services: School Psychometrist is a 30-hour certificate, delivered in a mixed format. For tuition and fee information, please visit the Office of the Bursar.

This degree focuses on the applied knowledge needed in the development and use of educational and testing skills for student assessment. The curriculum is designed to address the educational and psychological concerns associated with educational assessment of students with routine and special needs in the classroom.
