1v1 Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament Rules:
Rules are subject to change without notice.
General Rules
- The tournament will use the latest version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Matches will be 1 vs. 1. Free play will be available following the event.
- Players can use any officially supported controller. Wired controllers will be provided.
- No Modding: Controllers or software that provide an unfair advantage are not allowed.
Match Settings
- Stock: 3 lives per player
- Time Limit: 8 minutes
- Stage Selection:
- First stage is picked by taking turns removing options from the starter list
- After that, the losing team picks the next stage
- Stage Hazards: Off
- Items: Off
- Team Attack: Off
- Pause: Disabled during matches

- Battlefield
- Final Destination
- Pokémon Stadium 2
- Smashville
- Town and City
Counterpick Stages
- Kalos Pokémon League
- Lylat Cruise
- Yoshi’s Story
Character Selection
- Blind Pick (First Match): Teams choose characters without knowing the opponent’s pick.
- Counterpick (Following Matches): The winning team picks first, then the losing team.
Match Format
- Set Length: Best of 3
- Winner’s & Grand Finals: Best of 5
- Tiebreaker:
- Most stocks wins
- If tied, lowest damage wins
Additional Rules
- Double Blind Pick: Available upon request
- Stage Clause: A team can’t pick the same stage more than once in a set
- Stage Bans: After each win, teams can ban 2 stages
- Self-Destruct Moves: The results screen decides the winner if the match ends with one
Conduct & Reporting
- Respect: Sportsmanship is required at all times
- Coaching: Not allowed during matches
- Disputes: Report immediately to the organizer—their decision is final
- Match Results: Winning teams must report their results right after each match
