National Incident Management System (NIMS) Implementation Statement
East Central University is committed to the successful adoption and implementation of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) across all levels of the campus community. This commitment extends to all applicable organizational units, including offices, departments, committees, and response teams—regardless of geographic context, whether rural, urban, or suburban.
To ensure consistent and effective implementation, ECU has designated a primary NIMS coordinator to serve as the central point of contact for the university. Additionally, each relevant department or operational area maintains its own designated coordinator to support institution-wide alignment with NIMS standards and protocols.
Through this coordinated approach, ECU promotes a unified and resilient emergency management structure that enhances the safety and preparedness of the entire campus community.
