Emergency Notifications

When ECU must close campus, we attempt to notify you in several ways:

• Email
• Social Media - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
• Local and statewide media
• Text message

Signing up for text notifications is easy!

1. Click the Colleague link on the ECU login page
2. Once you are signed in click on your "User Profile" (top right corner in orange bar)
3. On the dropdown menu, select "User Profile"
4. Under "Phone Numbers" make sure your cell number is listed as Mobile (Cell)
5. Your submission serves as your acceptance in receiving text messaging from East Central University
6. You may opt out at any time by replying "STOP"
