Dr. Stacey Bolin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from ECU. After working as a web programmer for several years, she earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. In 2015, she earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Technology Entrepreneurship from Walden University. While attending OU, Dr. Bolin worked in her family’s growing business. Dr. Bolin and her husband, Brandon, successfully added two ATV and UTV lines to better serve the needs of an ever-changing agricultural customer base. In 2008, she became the sales manager for a six-store, $40 million John Deere dealership servicing eastern Oklahoma and actively led and trained a growing sales force, managed seasonal inventory levels, and developed and implemented the corporate marketing strategy. Dr. Bolin and her husband also started, ran, and then sold another business venture. Dr. Bolin returned to academics in the fall of 2011 ready to share her education and experiences with the students at ECU. She was named the George Nigh award winner and was named to the USA Today All-American Academic Team during her senior year at ECU. As the Director of the Wilburn L. Smith Center for Entrepreneurship in the Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business, Dr. Bolin started the Tiger Tank Pitch Competition for high school and college students and coaches ECU teams for the Love’s Entrepreneur’s Cup (formerly the Oklahoma Governor’s Cup) competition, where ECU students have earned success every year since 2012. Dr. Bolin chairs the executive committee for Oklahoma Business Week and directs the one-week high school camp each summer. Dr. Bolin and Dean Godwin led US Africa Business Week in Uganda in August 2019 in partnership with two ECU SSB alums for 90+ Africans from three countries. In addition to participating in the activities of the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators, she also serves as the webmaster for the organization. Dr. Bolin serves on the national ACBSP Digital Media committee and actively participates in ACBSP regional and national events as a presenter. Dr. Bolin helped secure grant funding to host ECU’s Explorations in Computer Science and Robotics Summer Academy that she also co-directed, from 2012-2014 and 2016. Dr. Bolin serves on the Pontotoc County 9th Grade Career Discovery Day committee and the Ada, Byng, and Latta Schools Business Technology Education Advisor Committees.
