Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College of Health & Sciences Department: Office of the Dean of CHS

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Dean of CHS, the Admin Asst is responsible for all administrative/clerical duties and will perform duties necessary for the daily operation of the dean's office. This position provides professional support by managing correspondence and reports, providing guidance and information to faculty as needed, as well as planning and managing projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Confidentiality is required. This position has access to student records as well as faculty and employee information for the college. Oversees the accuracy and flow of information and documents coming through the dean's office. Schedules meetings, manages due dates, enters schedules into Colleague system, creates FLH reports, keeps dean's calendar updated.

* Ability to effectively manage deadlines on multiple projects

*Ability to learn and master new technology

*Establish and maintain effective work relationships with faculty, staff and students

*Communicate effectively by phone, in person, and in writing

 

Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be self-directed, resourceful, highly motivated, and possess a positive attitude. Required skills include good oral communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Must be task oriented with the ability to complete projects within hard deadlines. Should be experienced in using Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook (email and calendar), Word, and Excel.
