SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is a part-time position during the academic year and summer. The Project Manager will serve as a liaison between PI/Program Director and East Central University Office of Sponsored Programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Degree and/or working experience in Geoscience-related field.
Past experience in MS PHD’S Programming as a student participant, mentor, Dream Team Member, and/or staff.
Ability to display initiative and assume responsibilities, have a positive attitude when dealing with coworkers, program participants, and stakeholders.
Ability to manage and maintain participant records (online and hard copy). Excellent computer skills (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.), and verbal skills are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager will serve as a member of the Leadership Team. The Project Manager will:
a) assist the Program Director and Leadership Team in recruiting and engaging new MS PHD’S Organizational partners for the MS PHD’S AIM program launch;
b) assist with fiscal and administrative tasks;
c) coordinate travel logistics for the Leadership Team to present at key Organizational Partner events;
d) assist the Leadership Team in developing student application protocols (screening participants for eligibility, collecting appropriate documents, assigning application reviewers, etc.);
e) manage the webpage and related virtual platforms; and
f) oversee the administration of surveys and other data collection instruments.
The Project Manager will follow guidance provided by the PI/Program Director and Advisory Board.
The Project Manager will work closely with senior program leadership to fulfill other duties as required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be self‐directed, very resourceful, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and possess a positive attitude. Must have good oral communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as, task oriented. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Applications to include Outlook, Word and Excel; experience or training in accounting procedures is preferred.

ANNUAL PART-TIME SALARY: $9,899
