In order to provide the highest level of service to the campus community, the computing and networking systems maintained by Information Technology require occasional downtime. To minimize the need for outages while classes are in session, Information Technology is planning scheduled downtime during which systems and networking services (e.g. email and web services) will not be guaranteed to be available. Although certain services will be available during all or parts of the scheduled downtimes, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to plan accordingly and not to be dependent on the services during the times listed below. We have scheduled a network downtime day for Saturday, December 29, 2012 starting at 6:00 AM and lasting until midnight.
