Once again, the Choral Music Department of East Central University will host the "40th," give or take a year or two, annual Little Dixie Fall Choral Contest. This contest is provided by the ECU Choral Department as a service to High School Choral Programs across the state of Oklahoma. The contest is sanctioned by the OSSAA, and, follows basic OSSAA District Contest guidelines. For more information, you may contact the contest chairperson, Dr. Kelley Alig, at 580-559-5726
The Art Department invites you to attend an open house on Thursday, November 2,
following the Lockmiller Lecture in Art History until 6 PM
Come to the Pogue Art Gallery following the lecture to meet the speaker, Dr. Bernida Webb-Binder, and to view the 63rd Annual Faculty Exhibit which features the work of ECU faculty Gary Batzloff, Samantha Dillehay, John Dougherty, F. Bradley Jessop, Annie Oldenburg, and Katy Seals.
The art studios will be open, faculty will be available to answer questions about their work and the courses they offer.
FOR NON-MAJORS WHO NEED UPPER-DIVISION ELECTIVES, this is a great opportunity to learn more about courses we offer that can fulfill those graduation requirements as you prepare for spring enrollment.
This event is free and open to the public.
Dorothy I. Summers Theatre
ECU Theatre and Music's Singing Performance group will present a children's theatre show for young audiences. Following two matinees at 10 a.m. on the mornings of the 9th and 10th, Showtime will present an evening show on Friday for the general public. Bring the kids. Showtime is under the direction of Vickie Reifsnider with assistance from Rudy Lupinski.
Tickets range from $5-$10. ECU students and employees are free with ECU ID.
