The FIVE80Riders Cody Johnson Memorial Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be at the Koi Ishto football stadium parking area at East Central University.
The car show is to promote and raise money for the Cody Johnson "Five80Riders" Memorial Scholarship. Cody was killed November 14, 2012 in a tragic motorcycle accident. The scholarship is presented to a Pontotoc County high school athlete attending ECU as a freshman. The $1,000 scholarship is endowed through the ECU Foundation. The money raised enables the scholarship to be expanded to a male and female student each year. For more information, call Andrew at 580-235-6742, Katie at 580-759-9965 or Judd 580-235-7857.
All are welcome to come and join in the Open House for Oka' Institute from 4-5:30pm in Fentom Hall.
High school juniors and seniors and prospective ECU students are invited to register for ECU Tiger Sneak Peek for a one-of-a-kind campus visit experience. Sneak Peek includes a tour of campus, meeting faculty and staff who can answer questions about scholarships and degree programs, and the opportunity to envision life as an ECU Tiger. A free lunch, ECU T-shirt and ECU swag bag are included.
Check in starts at 9:00 a.m. at Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center by meeting admissions staff and student tour guides, presentations about the university, an overview of the application process and outstanding academic offerings, and discover the numerous activities outside the classroom such as international study opportunities, campus clubs, social groups or NCAA Division II athletics.
