Whether you are brand new to our university or have been a part of our community for several years, we would like to invite you to our ECU Tiger Esports Discord. For those new to the term, Esports describes the world of competitive, organized, multiplayer video gaming. In Fall 2019, ECU announced that we were inviting players to join our esports teams, for such titles as Overwatch, CS:GO, Rocket League, and League of Legends (Valorant was recently added).
Throughout the coming semester, we hope to facilitate new relationships among ECU students with similar interests. One obstacle we have overcome is that not all of you are PC gamers. I myself came from a console-based gaming background, so don't let this discourage you from joining. We are interested in individuals with good game sense & teamwork skills, who enjoy playing in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
We currently have a Gaming Lab with 8 available computers on campus, with plans to expand in the future. For general information about our program, take a look at the ECU Tiger Esports webpage.
