All scholarships require full-time attendance (12 hours for undergraduate; 6 hours for graduate) unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships require a 3.0 cumulative GPA unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships are for fall and/or spring semester only (summer not included) unless indicated otherwise.
All Psychology scholarship recipients are selected by the department, with final approval by the ECU Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Any exceptions must be approved by the department chair and the Foundation Scholarship Committee.


BRILES SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded based on need and a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Originally established as a part of the Federal Student Loan Program, this scholarship was transferred to the ECU Foundation in 1995.

JUDY CRABTREE CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL PSYCHOLOGY ENDOWMENT
This scholarship will be awarded to a junior or senior student majoring in psychology.  The family of Mrs. Crabtree established this scholarship in her memory.

DCT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGY CENTENNIAL ENDOWMENT
This scholarship will be awarded to graduate students, who have been unconditionally admitted to their program, of Education, Psychology or Kinesiology.  The recipient's graduate GPA must be a 3.5 or above and he/she must be enrolled in a minimum of three (3) hours of graduate coursework in their program area.  This scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the College of Education and Psychology Scholarship Committee, or their chosen designee, and can be used for fall, spring, and/or summer semesters.

HIGGINBOTHAM FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate psychology student who has completed at least 18 hours of graduate work and has maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Two letters of recommendation are required, as well as a leadership essay (500-570 words) describing how psychology will be an integral part of the student’s chosen profession, as well as listing future academic and career goals. Dorothy Higginbotham was an ECU graduate who understood and appreciated the value of higher education, and she established this scholarship as part of her estate planning.

E.H. NELSON PSYCHOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to assist with the purchase of books for a psychology major.  Dr. Nelson was a long-time member of the Psychology faculty, and this scholarship was established in his honor and memory.

ESSIE ROARK COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGY CENTENNIAL ENDOWMENT
