All scholarships require full-time attendance (12 hours for undergraduate; 6 hours for graduate) unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships require a 3.0 cumulative GPA unless indicated otherwise.
All scholarships are for fall and/or spring semester only (summer not included) unless indicated otherwise.
All recipients are recommended by the department, with final approval by the ECU Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Any exceptions must be approved by the department chair and the Foundation Scholarship Committee.


ELIZABETH BLAKESLY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to an Art, Theatre, or Vocal Music student who maintains at least a 3.0 GPA. Ms. Blakesly was a long-time Ada resident who was very interested in the support of ECU students.

LEE BLANEY DRAMA AWARD
This scholarship will be awarded to a Drama student majoring in Theatre. Mr. Blaney was an ECU alumnus who died in a tragic accident and this scholarship was established by family and friends in his memory.

COLEMAN PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the Performing Arts department. Established by ECU alumnus Tim Coleman, this scholarship will assist students in their pursuit of excellence in speech and communication skills.

ADOLPH LINSCHEID & D.J. NABORS SPEECH AWARD
This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Three groups will be considered for this award: students who are planning to pursue a profession in which public speaking will be used extensively, students planning to enter the teaching profession, and students who excel in forensic competition. This scholarship was established to honor Dr. Linscheid, who served as ECU’s president from 1920-1948, and Dr. Nabors, who was a long-time faculty member at ECU

RUDY LUPINSKI ACT II HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been involved in both ACT II and ECU Musical Theatre within the past year (including summer productions). The recipient can be an actor/actress, stage manager, musician, set designer, camp counselor, or involved with sound and lighting. The recipient must be a current ECU student maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA and someone who represents both ECU and ACT II in a professional manner. 

FINIS MORRISON SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student providing leadership in the Humanities area. Scholarships will be available in the areas of Drama, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, and Piano.

DOROTHY I. SUMMERS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding Theatre student with preference to excellence in technical theatre work. Dr. Summers was a long-time faculty member at ECU and this scholarship was established in her honor and memory by family, friends, and colleagues.
