Thirteen theatre and music theatre majors and minors will direct 13 short one-act plays, each with two performances.  Thursday night and Saturday matinee will be Group A.  Friday and Saturday night will be the Group B.  Plays should run the gamut from comedy to tragedy and probably something in between.

Join us at East Central University as TheatreWorksUSA presents a musical revue of beloved contemporary children’s books: Dragons Love Tacos and Other Stories, including “Dragons Love Tacos,” “Interrupting Chicken,” “The Dot,” “Mercy Watson Goes for a Ride,” and “Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa School Days.” Kids of all ages are sure to enjoy this musical production! ECU Theatre brings you the classic musical "Man of La Mancha" directed by Alan Marshall and featuring Dr. Richard Groetzinger as Don Quixote.  The original Broadway production starred Richard Kiley and more recent revivals have starred Placido Domingo, Raul Julia, and Brian Stokes Mitchell in the lead role.  It was also made into a movie with Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren.   The musical features songs like "the Impossible Dream," "I Really Like Him," "Dulcinea," "It's All the Same," "Aldonza,"  and "The Golden Helmet of Mambrino."

Victor Frankenstein is a Swiss scientist with a mission to create an artificial human. Without considering the consequences of such progress, he succeeds with terrifying results. After wandering the world alone, the monster eventually comes for Frankenstein’s family. Horrific events unfold until the doctor tentatively agrees to create a mate for the creature. Ultimately, the doctor refuses in an effort to spare humanity but bears the terrible and personal penalties of his decision. Two hundred years later, Frankenstein still poses a myriad of critical ethical questions. Aquila Theatre’s production of this timeless classic will be bold and thrilling!

Touring the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center

We are always happy to offer tours of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center but we ask that you contact us in advance to schedule these. We are a working building and often have shows moving in and out or rehearsing as well as classes. Some of these events can be interrupted with tours, but some can not due to time constraints and  safety hazards. Normal tour times are from 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday, but we can occasionally make exceptions for large groups. Please call us at 580-559-5851 and we will arrange a tour for you!
