Living in the information age, it is vital to know how to inform the masses be it through traditional means, electronic, or video and audio. The Mass Communication Program prepares students for careers in media industries, government, and business, or to enter graduate programs by offering two concentrations and two minors to students committed to the study of mass media and strategic communication. Our graduates have skills employers need in our information-sensitive society.

The Mass Media concentration serves students who wish to pursue careers and other interests in audio and video production, and in electronic and print journalism. Advertising/Public Relations concentration prepares students who wish to pursue careers and interests in representing businesses and other organizations through the use of mass media.

As students create information, Mass Comm majors have access to Mac labs, TV and audio studios, professional quality equipment and instructors with both academic and real-world experience.
