ADA ART WALK SET FOR FRIDAY, MAY 3, AT ECU

The East Central University Art Club and Arts District of Ada will hold its first Ada Art Walk on Friday, May 3, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

ECU HOLDING SURPLUS AUCTION AT NORRIS FIELD ON THURSDAY, MAY 2

East Central University will hold a Public Surplus Auction on Thursday, May 2, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Norris Field Parking Lot.

ECU STUDENT DUNNAM NAMED 2013 NEWMAN CIVIC FELLOW

East Central University’s Loren Dunnam, is one of 11 inspirational college students from Oklahoma, to be named to the 2013 Newman Civic Fellows for service in their local communities.

ECU’S PARKER ETHICS LECTURE TO FEATURE WESTON SMITH

ADA – Weston Smith, a frequent speaker on ethics and integrity within business, will be the keynote speaker at East Central University’s Parker Ethics Lecture on Friday May 3, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Estep Multimedia Room of the Bill S. Cole University Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

Smith is a regular contributor to researchers of corporate fraud and has been featured on CNBC and the Fox Business Network with Neil Cavuto.

KIDS 4 KIDS FESTIVAL SET FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 27, AT ECU’S CENTENNIAL PLAZA

The Kids 4 Kids Street Festival is set for Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on East Central University’s Centennial Plaza, between the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center and the Horace Mann building.

ECU SENIOR ART STUDENTS TO DISPLAY EXHIBITS

Four East Central University senior art students will showcase their exhibits later this month and in early May in the Pogue Art Gallery of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

OKLAHOMA SUPREME COURT JUSTICE WINCHESTER FEATURED SPEAKER AT EAST CENTRAL UNIVERSITY’S LAW DAY

Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice James R. Winchester will be the featured speaker as the East Central University Department of Political Science and Legal Studies in conjunction with the Pontotoc County Bar Association, present “Law Day – Realizing the Dream: Equality for All” on Tuesday, April 30 in the Estep Multimedia Room, located in the Bill S. Cole University Center.

ECU DISTINGUISHED AWARD TO BE PRESENTED MAY 10

The recipients of East Central University’s Distinguished Awards for 2013 will be honored on Friday, May 10, during the ECU Foundation’s Honors and Recognition Banquet at 6:30 p.m.
