POGUE ART GALLERY SERVING AS HOST OF ECU ALUMNI EXHIBIT

East Central University’s Pogue Art Gallery is serving as host of an ECU Alumni Art Exhibit from now until Aug. 21.

All of the artists who are participating exhibit their work regularly through the region, have work in both public and private art collections and have had their work published.

Participating artists include: Leslie Waugh Dallam, Verna Stonecipher Fuler, James D. Gaar, Stacey D. Miller, Zachary D. Presley, G. Patrick Riley, Paul Walsh, Carla Waugh and Vance Wingate.

ECU VETERANS UPWARD BOUND TO HOST VETERANS AND MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY ON MAY 14

East Central University’s Veterans Upward Bound Program will be hosting Veterans and Military Appreciation Day Thursday, May 14, in the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

Activities begin at 9 a.m. with information tables. Various programs, organizations and businesses, who provide services for veterans and military service members, will be on hand to provide information until 1 p.m.

ECU’S EVENING OF HONORS AND RECOGNITION SET FOR FRIDAY, MAY 8

Two distinguished alumni - Deborah Cornelison and Todd Graham – will be honored as East Central University conducts its annual Evening of Honors and Recognition at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, in ECU’s Foundation Hall at the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center.

Cornelison, a National Teachers Hall of Fame inductee last June, will be the keynote speaker at ECU’s 10 a.m. commencement ceremony on May 9, while Graham, the head football coach at Arizona State University, will address the graduating candidates in the 2 p.m. ceremony that same day.
