ADA, Okla. - The innovative East Central University Glass Recycling program will be showcasing its unique concrete pavers at the Ada's Farmers Market every Saturday morning from May through October. As a verified vendor at space number 46, the program invites the community to explore these beautiful items, crafted from recycled glass bottles.

Visitors to the market can witness firsthand the transformation of discarded glass into stunning and sustainable creations. The ECU Glass Recycling program offers a delightful array of paver designs, featuring charming dog paws, serene turtles, bright sunflowers, sweet hearts, and whimsical dragonflies.

"We're passionate about showing our community the tangible benefits of recycling," says Adrian Odhiambo, Director of the ECU Glass Recycling Program. "It's truly amazing what we can create when we work together towards a more sustainable future, turning something as common as a glass bottle into a beautiful and lasting product."

Beyond the market, the ECU Glass Recycling program makes it easy for everyone to contribute to a greener future. The program operates a convenient drop-off facility located behind the Education Building on the ECU campus. Clearly labeled polycarts are available for anyone in the community to drop off their clean glass bottles for recycling.

This initiative highlights the amazing potential for creative reuse and provides accessible ways for the community to participate in sustainable practices.

The ECU Glass Recycling program is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness through the innovative recycling of glass. By transforming discarded glass bottles into unique and functional products like concrete pavers, and by providing accessible drop-off locations, the program aims to reduce waste, conserve resources, and inspire the community to embrace eco-conscious practices.
