The East Central University Jazz Ensemble and a Faculty Jazz Combo will perform at 7:30pm Tuesday [APRIL 20] in the Arthur J. Kennedy Band Hall in the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Allen Correll, ECU band director, will conduct the Jazz Ensemble in "Sugar" by Stanley Turrentine, "Stompin' at the Savoy" by Benny Goodman, "Route 66" by Bobby Troup, "Just to See Her" by Lou Pardini and Jimmy Georgantones; and "Firstborn" by Dean Sorenson.

The Faculty Jazz Combo of Dr. Mark Hollingsworth, Dr. Allen Correll, Rudy Lupinski, Bronson Warren and Dr. Ben Finley will play "Killer Joe" by Benny Golson, "One By One" by Wayne Shorter and "Freight Trane" by Tommy Flanagen.

Students in the Jazz Ensemble are Erin Goto, Sam Crosby and Matt Roland on saxophone; Miguel Mirales, Stephen McCleskey, Roger Malkovitz and Ritchie Valandingham on trumpet; Nichole Pfeffer, Rayel Schinnerer and James Purdy on trombone; Jesslyn Richards, piano; Justin Cody, bass; Kyle Littlejohn and Ryan Woodell, drums; and James Linn, guitar.
